A dystopian multiplayer survival protocol set in the flooded remains of South Mayo. Rain is toxic. Trust is an expensive commodity.
SURVIVE. REBUILD. LEARN. CONNECT.
Project 1906 is a multiplayer open-world survival game set in a ruined Ballinrobe, Co. Mayo. A catastrophic Atlantic storm made the rain itself toxic. One drop on exposed skin is lethal.
Players start inside the Ballinrobe Living Lab and step through a quantum portal into the destroyed world outside. Out there, survivors are trading for resources and piecing together what caused the collapse.
Inspiration: Minecraft (build/survive), The Sims (social depth), Stranger Things (90s pixel-art). Set in Ireland with a strong Mayo identity throughout.

Weather is the primary antagonist. Rain is lethal on contact. Exposure windows dictate everything: when to move, when to trade, when to sleep.
Clear land, grow crops, raise animals. When you log off, the farm converts to a crypto miner. Real yield for time invested — online or off.
Scattered underground shelters. Solve a maths puzzle to enter. Everything inside is free. Ideal refuge during downpours and for new players.
A surviving government computer flickering on Main Street. Sit down and talk to it. Powered by the Anthropic Claude API.
No in-game currency. Every transaction is a trade. Values fluctuate with weather windows, farm yields and offline mining conversion.

Survival is not just caloric intake — it is the retention of human intelligence. Real-world learning is woven through every mechanic: foraging, ecology, nutrition, maths, strategy.

The year Ballinrobe Racecourse ran its first fixture on its current ground. A small Mayo town committing to a hundred-year bet on itself. Project 1906 asks: what if the bet was called in? What survives when the market shutters and the rain turns?
